An unforgettable Pucela Run 2022

Tariqu Novales and Nuria Nugueros, in the 10-kilometer distance, and Guillermo Martín and Alba Sanz, in the 5K, won the Pucela Run 2022 The third edition of the Pucela Run ends with the inevitable feeling of having exceeded expectations. The streets of Valladolid have witnessed an event that goes far beyond the race itself, becoming an experience that every Pucelano must live. About 2,000 runners started at ten in the morning from the famous Acera de Recoletos, with a notable influx and the desire that the participants oozed in the moments before the starting gun. The ribbon cutting was carried out by Alberto Bustos, Councilor for Sports of the City of Valladolid; José Julián Nieto, director of Adecco; Javier González Vega, deputy for sports of the Provincial Council of Valladolid; Javier Martín, territorial director of Banco Santander in Castilla y León; Matt Fenaert, CEO of Real Valladolid; and Juan Méndez, Director of Communication of Madison Sports Marketing, unleashing the beginning of a fast-paced battle on the asphalt that ended in the vicinity of the José Zorrilla. After having stepped on the white and violet temple and immortalizing the moment, the runners reached the finish line euphoric to finish a race that has already become a must in the calendar of all Valladolid running fans. The five and ten kilometer modalities were the first to finish, with Tariqu Novales and Nuria Nugueros crowning themselves in the 5K distance, and Guillermo Martín and Alba Sanz doing the same in the 10K. This year’s novelty came in the March version, adaptable to anyone who simply wanted to enjoy the experience at their own pace and with their own route, something that has attracted a large number of participants who have already joined the Pucela Run family. After the awards ceremony, which was attended by José Julián Nieto, director of Adecco; Pablo Pérez, director of Vallsur; Javier González Vega, deputy for sports of the Provincial Council of Valladolid; Javier Martín, territorial director of Banco Santander in Castilla y León; and Matt Fenaert, CEO of Real Valladolid, the most emotional moments came from the hundreds of children who ran entirely inside the José Zorrilla stadium in the Kids modality, with the smiles of those who step on the pitch where their idols play the matches during the weekends. From MADISON it is an honour to connect Real Valladolid and the city where we were born with the people of Pucelanos through ideas and formats where the values of sport become the common thread of the strategy. Finally, the fan zone that debuted in this edition put the musical and animation note in an event that lasted at the end of the race, with a great atmosphere in the hospitality area to enjoy the Sunday day.
