MADISON and the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences of the University of Valladolid present the “MADISON Award for the best work in Market Research” to the students of the Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Market Research (MIM) of this Faculty. The winning project was “Second-Hand Clothing: Current and Future Trends“.

On Tuesday 28th, the VIII edition of the MADISON and University of Valladolid Award for the best work in Market Research” took place, an award that rewards the effort of students in the last year of the MIM degree at the centre. This award seeks to be an incentive that motivates students to continue with their projects and promotes public-private collaboration between the Valladolid multinational and the UVA.

The award has been running for eight years and maintains its double objective: on the one hand, to promote the talent of these young people who will be the leaders in the future and, on the other, to be a bridge between the university and job placement.

The award ceremony took place at MADISON Arena, and together with the winners and finalists, was attended by Ms. María del Valle Santos, dean of the Faculty of CC. EE and EE of the UVA, who inaugurated the event and congratulated the participants for their effort and interest in research. In addition, Carmen Antón, coordinator of the MIM Degree, and Javier Rodríguez Pinto, professor of the Degree and member of the jury, among other professors of the Faculty, attended.

On behalf of MADISON, Miriam Pastor, head of the Technical Area of CX, Insights & Analytics, was present, who explained to the students the trajectory and capabilities of the company. Laura Campos also intervened on behalf of the People Department to talk to the attendees about job possibilities and professional growth in Madison. Finally, it was the turn of Elisabet Pelazas, from the Data Science area, with an interesting presentation on the advances of generative AI in the field of Market Research. The three showed the work that is done by each Business Unit through real cases or examples of practical application of the studies.

After an arduous deliberation by the jury made up of Sonia García, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communication at Madison; Miriam Pastor, head of the Technical Area of CX Insights and Analytics, and Javier Rodríguez, professor of the MIM degree, the first prize, endowed with € 1,000, corresponded to the work:

  • Second-Hand Clothing: Current and Future Trendsby Ana Álvarez García, Itziar Carrancio López, Silvia Duque Pérez and Sandra García Huerta.

The finalist works have been:

  • Impact of ICT on Education“, carried out by Raquel García Díaz-Pisón, Alicia González García, Miguel Martín Sobrino, Álvaro Méndez Macías and Carles Remolà Capó.
  • Influence of Social Networks on the self-esteem of users“, carried out by Cristina Carranza Morchón, Elías Llanos Galán, Laura García Romero and Sonia Rodríguez Tomé.

These awards demonstrate MADISON’s commitment to the University and talent, promoting initiatives that reward effort and highlighting the incorporation of students into the world of work, as has been the case of winners of past editions who are developing their professional careers at MADISON.

Our thanks to the Faculty’s team of professors and students for their participation and involvement in this award.
